Samples of diaphragm and kidney tissues are collected and sent for testing for antimicrobial (drug) residues in food animals. Results obtained are evaluated against Health Canada's established guidelines. Tissues/specimens are collected from the carcasses of food animals for histopathologic testing to confirm/rule-out a diagnosis/disposition includes Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE) and Scrapie.
