"The CFIA's Bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) Intensive Surveillance Program plays an important role in Canada's strategy to manage this condition. This program has so far successfully demonstrated the low rate of BSE in Canada. MAPAQ collaborates in this program and analyzes more than 2,900 samples each year."
