2022 marked the 30th anniversary of RAIZO, the first animal health surveillance network in Canada. It was created with the goal of communicating animal health surveillance information to assist animal health stakeholders in their decisions and actions in Quebec. Having built an impressive array of tools and networks over the years in pursuit of its mission, RAIZO has often been used as a model for other organisations to develop their own animal health surveillance network, including the Canadian Animal Health Surveillance Network (CAHSS).
