Animal Health Monitor - September 2021 Newsletter

The Animal Health Monitor is a collaborative work by the professional staff at the Animal Health Centre, Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Fisheries. This newsletter includes articles about animal diseases occurring in the province, current issues in animal health, case reports, updates on the scope of diagnostic services, expertise, programs and support available at the Animal Health Centre, information about food safety, biosecurity and issues that are affecting or may affect local animal, human and environmental health.

 

The September 2021 edition of AHM details information on blackhead disease in turkeys, bluetongue virus in California Bighorn sheep, and has a fact sheet on Mycoplasa Ovipnuemoniae, a disease that can affect both domestic and wild sheep and goats.
