Equine Strangles (
Streptococcus equi) has been confirmed at two equine boarding/lesson facilities in the Okanagan, BC. At this time, at least two other facilities in the Okanagan have suspect cases where confirmatory test results are pending. Impacted facility managers are implementing voluntary movement restrictions as well as biosecurity measures under veterinary supervision.
