The Canadian Food Inspection Agency confirmed infectious salmon anaemia in the following locations in July 2025:

  • July 7, 2025: New Brunswick, in Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar).
  • July 7, 2025: Nova Scotia, in Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar).
  • July 10, 2025: Newfoundland, in Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar).
  • July 10, 2025: Newfoundland, in Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar). The virus strain detected is not known to cause disease.
  • July 25, 2025: Newfoundland, in Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar).
