Equine herpesvirus 1 (EHV-1) has been confirmed in a 20 year old mare, in Taber, Alberta. On April 27, 2026, mare aborted of a full term colt. The horse is quarantined. The horse is unvaccinated. Additional abortions reported by client, exact number not reported to protect client confidentiality
