This webinar is intended for Canadian veterinarians, veterinary professionals, and regulatory authorities. It will provide an overview of the current Asian Longhorned Tick and Theileria situation in the US. Attendees will learn to recognize the tick and learn about ways to deal with this menace in various species, primarily cattle. They will also learn about theileriosis, how to recognize the disease and help their producers prevent and manage this disease in the field, how to submit appropriate samples, and how to report to animal health authorities. A quick update of Canada’s current surveillance and requirements will also be offered.
