This talk will provide an overview of the risks and benefits of nonhuman primate importation, with an emphasis on zoonotic disease threats (particularly tuberculosis). We will discuss the CDC's approach to regulating nonhuman primate importation and present examples of zoonotic disease outbreaks among imported nonhuman primates.
