The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) monthly summary of rabies
cases for May 2024 has confirmed 11 cases of rabies: Nine cases in bats (two from British Columbia, one from Saskatchewan, five from Ontario, and one from New Brunswick), and two cases in skunks from Manitoba.
